Spring is finally here so our class will be getting outside as much as possible. We're looking forward to our outdoor phys. ed. times and spring field trips. We are also still very busy in the classroom working on our measurement unit in math, leaning about government in Social Studies, the science of sound in science, and different reading & writing strategies in ELA. We are also reading the novel Wonder as a class and discussing the many great messages and themes within the book. Have a great month and visit our school webpage for updates about our school from Mrs. Beattie.
Thank you so much to those of you that were able to come to our Saskatchewan Project Viewing in the gym. The class worked very hard on their projects and were excited to show them off. If you were unable to make it, please visit our classroom blog for photos of the projects.! Your child will be able to share their username and password with you to view the pictures.

Sept. 26th Update
Greetings families! What a wonderful month it has been in our classroom! I am so lucky to be working with such a great group of kids. It was so great to meet many of you on our open house night. If you didn't get a chance to come that night, please feel free to pop in some day after school. You are welcome to check the classroom out at any time.
Thank you to everyone who completed the many forms that were sent home at the beginning of the year, as well as the short write up I requested in the handbook. I appreciate knowing the special qualities about your child that make them who they are.
We have now started our weekly spelling tests and have already had a math test. I will try to give a couple of days notice for the math tests but basically we will have at least one unit test a month. Please feel free to ask your child to bring their math binder home occasionally if you would like to check out what they are doing or provide extra support at home. You could also write a note in the agenda reminding them. I have shown the students how to access the textbooks online so they should be able to show you if you are unsure.
If you ever have any questions, concerns or comments, please do not hesitate to send me an email, write a note in the agenda or leave a message at the office and I will return your call when I am available.
Have a great October!!
